Today I’d like to introduce you to a remarkable Polish artist: Tadeusz Dobkowski. He creates one-of-a-kind jewelry using high-quality materials. We don’t yet carry his pieces in our store, but I’m so taken with his work that I wanted to tell you about it.
Tadeusz Dobkowski has been working with Baltic amber for over 15 years, carrying on a family tradition that dates back more than 40 years. So-called Baltic amber comes from countries bordering the Baltic Sea: Russia, Poland, and the Baltic States.
Tadeusz Dobkowski crafts his pieces from exquisite materials, such as black oak and silver, and highlights their raw, natural state. What he loves most of all is leaving the amber as close to its natural state as possible. This approach gives rise to ultra-modern designs that are nonetheless full of warmth.
I’ll let you enjoy a selection of his most beautiful creations:
For your information: The Tadeusz Dobkowski Gallery also sells hundreds of inclusions—plants and animals trapped in amber—dating back approximately 40 million years.
Tadeusz Dobkowski appreciates understated elegance and takes special care to create jewelry of the highest quality with a unique style.
When designing his jewelry, he focuses on creating original shapes. He seeks to balance his vision with current fashion trends.
Its unique products have been and continue to be appreciated by a large group of discerning customers in Poland and around the world.
In addition to designing and crafting one-of-a-kind pieces in his jewelry studio—drawing inspiration from the shape of raw amber—he also creates jewelry in small batches.
Among the clients and prominent figures who have enjoyed his products are:
John Paul II,
Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski,
Portuguese President Jose Sampaio,
Kuwaiti Prime Minister Nasser Mohammed Al Ahmad Al Sabah,
Chairman of the Warsaw Monetary Policy Council
Mariusz Walter, President of TVN.
He also creates sculptures and statues—all made of amber—which have won awards in several competitions.
